Healthier Foods To Lose Weight and Keep It Off

Are you trying to lose weight and keep it off?

It's tough! What can I eat? What should I be eating? This diet says more protein, the other diet says low carb, and another says no sugar.

No wonder women are confused.

I want to share with you what I've learned about losing weight and keeping it off. The secret is to get back to basics when it comes to what you eat and stick to it.

According to the CDC here is a healthy eating plan.

According to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2020–2025pdf icon[PDF-30.6MB]external icon, a healthy eating plan:

  • Emphasizes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and fat-free or low-fat milk and milk products
  • Includes lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs, and nuts
  • Is low in saturated fats, trans fats, cholesterol, salt (sodium), and added sugars
  • Stays within your daily calorie needs

Normally, a well-rounded diet is introduced to us at an early age in our homes and in our schools. As we grow older, we begin to form our own not-so-good eating habits.

If you have moved away from healthy eating, you must jump back on board to help you WIN this weight loss battle.

It's about finding foods that are good for your body. Foods that offer vitamins, minerals, and nutrients your body craves to run at peak performance.

Spend some time making a MAIN list of healthy foods you will eat. Do your research. Make all of your meals from your list. Then when you want to have pizza for a change, you can have it, guilt-free!

Here are healthier food choices that I recommend.
